YOU SET THE PACE

THE SAME DECISION.
EVERY FIRST BITE.

Start with the meal you want, then choose the heat you’re comfortable with. A tender and a slider are different ways to enjoy your chicken; the heat level is a separate choice.

New to Dave’s? Leave room to discover what works for you. You don’t have to head straight to the top of the scale.

THE FULL LINEUP

FROM EASY
TO EXTRA.

The order below follows the menu’s heat scale. It isn’t a measured Scoville rating or a prediction of how spicy your meal will feel.

No Spice

Keep it easy

The starting point on the heat scale, also called Not Hot.

Lite Mild

A little warmth

One step above No Spice on the menu’s heat scale.

Mild

A gentle step up

Below Medium; an option when you want to keep it lower.

Medium

In the middle

The middle of the seven-level lineup.

Hot

Turn up the heat

Above Medium and below Extra Hot.

Extra Hot

The next level

One level below Reaper. A choice for higher heat tolerance.

Reaper

The top of the scale

The highest listed level. Ask your restaurant about its guidance and requirements.

Level names are shown on the official US ordering menu. Heat tolerance varies from person to person.

NOW MAKE IT YOURS

CHOOSE THE CHICKEN.
THEN CHOOSE THE HEAT.

Go for tenders if you want the chicken on its own, sliders if you want a bun and toppings, or a mixed meal to try both. Review your restaurant’s available customizations before checkout.

A LITTLE MORE CLARITY

HEAT QUESTIONS.

Do I have to order spicy chicken?

No. No Spice, also listed as Not Hot, is the starting level on the menu. Tell your restaurant which heat level you want.

Is Medium the same as “medium” somewhere else?

Spice labels are specific to each restaurant’s menu. Treat the scale as a way to compare Dave’s options, rather than a universal measure of heat.

What should I know about Reaper?

It is the highest level on Dave’s menu. Ask your restaurant about current guidance and any requirements before choosing it.

Where can I check ingredients?

Use Dave’s allergen and nutrition information and discuss preparation questions with the restaurant.
